Zac Efron DJ movie is currently the 3rd worst wide-release debut ever

'We are Your Friends' which was estimated to bring in something close to $8 million, opened to a disappointing $1.8 million from 2,333 theaters.

Zac Efron's undefinedreceived no love over the weekend as it made its debut.

The movie which debuted at just $1.8 million from 2,333 theaters, is currently at No. 3 on Box Office Mojo's worst wide openings of all time since 1982.

The movie attained the fourth spot after beating movies like 'Oogieloves In The BIG Balloon Adventure' ($443,901); 'Delgo" ($511,920)' and 'Saw 10th Anniversary' ($650,051).

Starring Zac Efron, Emily Ratajkowski and Wes Bentley, the Max Joseph’s directorial debut made its debut on August 28.

"Cole, a 23-year-old DJ who struggles in the Hollywood's electronic dance music scene, has dreams of becoming a major record producer.

Eventually, older DJ James, begins to mentor him, but Cole makes a connection with James' girlfriend, Sophie.
