Kunle Afolayan, Omowunmi Dada, Ayo Adesanya attend media screening

Coloured by their different cultural backgrounds, two mothers-in-law forcefully move in with a couple to perform Omugwo rites in this new Kunle Afolayan movie.

The premiere was attended by Kunle Afolayan, Ayo Adesanya, Omuwunmi Dada, Chioma Ude, Kate Henshaw among others.

Africa Magic was represented at the event by Efosa Aiyevbomwan, who was impressed with the production and reiterated Africa Magic's interest in doing more with Afolayan.

In the comedy movie directed by Kunle Afolayan, a couple from different cultural background have to deal with their mothers-in-law who forcefully move in with them to perform the Igbo child care rite, Omugwo.

Synopsis

Omotunde, A young civil engineer married to Raymond an OAP(Online Radio Personality), has just given birth.

Coloured by their different cultural backgrounds, their mothers-in-law forcefully move in with the couple to perform the Igbo child care rite called, Omugwo.

But instead of relieving their children of the burden of childcare, the mothers' rivalry complicates life for the couple to comical effects.

To be released on April 7, 2017, "Omugwo" features Omuwunmi Dada, Ken Erics, Patience Ozokwor and Adesanya.

"Omugwo" is one of the three films commissioned by MultiChoice and directed by Afolayan.
