Watch Viola Davis speak on the injury she got while filming a sex scene with her lover Nate in "How to Get Away with Murder."
Appearing on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the series' lead actress, Viola Davis, spoke more on the injury she got while filming a sex scene with her co-star Billy Brown, whose character Nate Leahy has been in an affair with her character, Annalise Keating.
"Well, we really went for it. I said, 'Listen, I'm always playing these maids, I always gotta gain 40 pounds for a role.' I said, 'I wanna be sexy. I'm pulling out all the stops.' So, I went for it... and threw my back out. The director said 'Slam her up against the wall and really go for it, pull your pants down.' I said, 'OK, I'm gonna go for it.' He slams me up against the wall, six people are behind the wall, holding it up, it's shaking. It sounds sexy, it really wasn't,” she said on show.
When asked how her husband reacted to the injury, the actress revealed that she hid the injury from her husband.
"HTGAWM" stars the actress as Annalise, a brilliant, charismatic and seductive professor of defense law, who teaches a class called How to Get Away With Murder.
“How to Get Away with Murder” was recently renewed for its third season on ABC.
