"Trapped: No Way Out" Short film by Deejay Sa'id selected for AFRIFF 2016

"Trapped: No Way Out," a short film written, produced and directed by Deejay Sa'id, has also been announced as one of the official selections for the 6th Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).

The movie which took a year to produce,  screened for the first time at the 2016 Lagos comic con.

According to Deejay, the film will be “revolutionary” and will stand “shoulder-to-shoulder to many Hollywood big screen movies”.

About film

During the process of combat with terrorists, a bullet to the skull sent a military sergeant into coma for three years. He was trapped in his mind during these years trying to fight his way back to life as he battles with his past experiences as a soldier.

This piece of work is dedicated to men on the battlefield, to those who lost their lives for the cause, and those suffering from any form of trauma or disorder as a result of the after effect of war.

"Trapped" is Deejay's second film since he produced his first feature "Blood and Romance", which got nominated for the 2014 Abuja International Film Festival, Eko International Film Festival and Best of Nollywood (BON) award in different categories, including, best director, best feature film, outstanding music, and best indigenous language feature film.

The short film stars Sa'id, Rachael Brown and Obed Onibiyo.
