Tomiwa Kukoyi aka TomiwaSage is a fast rising Nollywood actor, comedian and event MC with a knack for professionalism and success.

In a recent chat with Pulse, the theatre arts graduate of the University of Ibadan reeled out his career, women, work and why he gets tickled by being a comedian in a five minutes chat.

What is your philosophy of life?

My philosophy about life is simple, if it makes you happy, do it. Live now, no dress rehearsals.

You act as well as play the role of event MC and comedian, which would you say is more profitable, sparks your creativity and you enjoy most?

That is a difficult question because both take a lot of creativity and thought process. But I think comedy is more tasking, being that each situation and audience require different jokes. I enjoy acting, especially on stage. The instant feedback is amazing. it's hard to choose one over the other, they are both art forms I enjoy but yes, comedy sparks me off, tickles me even.

What is your take on stereotyped actors in Nollywood - especially as regards role and language of communication?

Stereotype in Nigerian movies is as it is in the Nigerian society. The male child stereotype, the woman stereotype, the tribal stereotypes. And Nollywood isn't f different from the Nigerian society. It's what Ngozi Chimamanda Adichie has called the danger of singer story. An actor that must play someone's husband must be a hunk, forgetting majority of Nigerian men have pot belly. Most of our movies have become advert piece, not a reflection of the society. But on the overall, I think it's beginning to change. Directors are beginning to look at different angles to stereotypes. An instance is Rita Dominic's The Meeting. Meanwhile, on language, we still have a long way to go on language and communication. People confuse feigning Western accent for proper English. You watch some movies and you are shocked at the use of language or lack of it, but nevertheless, this is also changing.

The Kukoyi family is a large one, what is your relationship with the Kukoyi, the female broadcaster on LTV?

I don't know the popular Kukoyi family like you have mentioned but I know I am from Ijebu Ode and I know members of my family are all over the face of earth. If it is the same Kukoyi, yes, I am part of it. I know two broadcasters with the surname Kukoyi, one in LTV and the other presents Gbajumo Osere on cable station but I only know one personally but I think they are both married to Kukoyis.

You seem to have beautiful girls around you all the time, what is sex to you and how often do you make out with your girlfriend or girlfriends as the case might be?

I have beautiful women around me. Sex is God's gift to man to enjoy and to respect. My sex life is personal to me. As such that sometimes I wonder if I know about it.
