Toke Makinwa is making her major acting debut alongside Toyin Aimakhu, Chigurl and Charles Okocha in "Makate Must Sell."
Directed by Don Omope, who produced the highest grossing Nollywood movie "The Wedding Party," "Makate Must Sell" assembles some popular comedy actors.
The film features Makinwa alongside Toyin Aimakhu, Etim Effiong, Charles Okocha, Bisola Aiyeola, Nedu of Wazobia, Chigul among others.
On August 23, 2017, Makinwa announced that she was making her 1st major acting debut in Nollywood. She stated that the role isn't one of those waka pass roles.
"Makate Must Sell" won't be her first screen appearance in Nollywood. In 2015, she made a cameo appearance on Funke Akindele's hit TV series, "Jenifa's Diary," sharing a scene with Akindele and Juliana Olayode.
Filming for the Omope movie kicked off on August 23, 2017. Omope's other films include "Lunch Time Heroes" and "Taxi Driver: Oko Asewo."
Other recent additions to the Nigerian film industry include Bobrisky, who made his debut with the indigenous movie, "Ojuloge Obirin."
