Jeffrey Dean Morgan almost gave up filming violent scene

Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Negan, says it was emotionally draining filming what has been described as the most violent "TWD" scene.

According to Jeffery Dean Morgan who plays the despised villain Negan, filming the scene which has been described as disturbing, violent, scary and brutal, was an emotional experience for him.

"That whole episode was hard, and also because I did go through and smack everybody with Lucille at a certain point. Everybody took a hit," he said to Interview Magazine.

"All of that was hard. It got to the point where I didn't want to do it anymore. Emotionally I was completely drained. All of us were, I would imagine."

The actor made his debut in the season six finale episode with his infamous Lucille. The episode ended with Negan playing a game to decide who would be the first to meet Lucille.

In a featurette released before the premiere, Jeffery Dean Morgan talked about being the despised villain, Negan. According to the actor, this is his first time of playing a character not loved by the viewers.
