Live-action in works at Disney

The 1963 'Sword in the Stone' which was based on a 1938 novel of the same name, is getting a Disney live-action treatment.

 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is developing a live-action remake of 'The Sword in the Stone.'

The upcoming live-action which is based on the 1963 animated film, will be penned by writer, Brian Cogman.

Based on the T.H. White story from 1938, the animated feature tells the story of a young King Arthur and his training at the hand of the wizard Merlin leading him to pull the enchanted sword from the stone and claim the throne of England.

The Sword in the Stone is one of many Disney animated films that are currently getting the live-action treatment.

Other Disney's upcoming live-action films include undefined, undefined, and Mulan, among others.
