Taraji P Henson who plays Cookie on "Empire," says there are personalities she would still love to portray.
It is an interesting year for Taraji P Henson who is set to return as Cookie Lyon in third season of "Empire," plays NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson in upcoming autobiography "Hidden Figures," and got her third Emmy nomination.
The 45-year-old is on the cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine, where she talks about "Empire," "Cookie," and the personalities she would love to portray.
On personalities, she said “I haven’t played a superhero yet, I haven’t played a psycho character yet. I want to play a man, like I want to really disappear. I have so much to do.”
On Cookie, she said "Cookie has all kinds of fans, all. She’s my alter ego — we all need a Sasha Fierce."

On "Empire," Taraji plays Cookie Lyon, the outspoken ex-wife and mother of Lucious Lyon's (Terrence Howard) three sons, who served a 17-year stretch in prison for drug dealing.
The actress beat Outlander‘s Caitriona Balfe, How to Get Away With Murder‘s Viola Davis, Penny Dreadful‘s Eva Green, and House of Cards‘ Robin Wright to win the "Best Actress in a TV series" at the 2016 Golden Globes Awards.
The third season of "Empire" will premiere on Wednesday, September 21, 2016.
