After battling with ALS, co-writer and director of the award winning movie 'Still Alice', Richard Glatzer' is dead.

Richard passed away on Tuesday in Los Angeles, at the age of 63.
He was diagnosed in 2011 and embarked on the 'Still Alice' project at the early stage of his disease.
His husband, Wash Westmoreland, says he takes consolation in knowing that Richard saw 'Still Alice' delivered to the world.
"I am devastated," Westmoreland said, in a statement. "Rich was my soulmate, my collaborator, my best friend and my life."
"In this dark time, I take some consolation in the fact that he got to see Still Alice go out into the world. He put his heart and soul into that film, and the fact that it touched so many people was a constant joy to him. - Westmoreland said.
Julianne Moore won her undefined for her character in the 'Still Alice' drama.
