Eddie Redmayne is this year’s winner of the 'Best Actor' award…

For his lead role in the 2014 British biographical romantic drama film ‘The Theory of Everything’, the 33-year-old bested the likes of Steve Carell ('Foxcatcher'), Bradley Cooper ('American Sniper'), Benedict Cumberbatch ('The Imitation Game') and Michael Keaton ('Birdman') for the honor.

'I am fully aware that I am a lucky, lucky man. This belongs to all of those people around the world battling ALS”, Redmayne’s speech read, honouring those who suffer from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

US actress Julian Moore walked away with the ‘Best Actress’ award for her role in ‘Still Alice’ while the ‘Best Director’ award went to Alejandro G. Iñárritu for the movie ‘Birdman’
