Court adjourns "Okafor's Law" copyright infringement case to May
Justice N Buba of the Federal High Court Ikoyi, has adjourned the copyright infringement case between Raconteur Productions and Omoni Oboli.

The court adjourned the hearing to May 17, 2017. On April 3 and April 4, Chioma Onyewe and Jude Idada made an appearance in the witness stand for the plaintiff.
Oboli, who was absent during the first and second hearing of the case, made her first appearance in court on Monday, April 3, 2017. She was accompanied by Nollywood veteran, Zeb Ejiro, who came along to offer his support.
During the first and second hearing of the case, Oboli was represented by the production manager of Dioni Visions, Tomi Adeoye.
On Thursday, March 30, 2017, the Court granted Omoni Oboli the go ahead to release “Okafor’s Law”on Friday March 31, 2017.
Though the Court lifted the injunction, the case is still in court, and hearing of the substantive matter kicked off on Monday, April 3, 2017.
The ruling by Justice N. Buba was for an interlocutory injunction which was served to Omoni Oboli, Filmone and Dioni Visions to halt the release of the movie in Nigeria.
The injunction was served on Friday, March 24, 2017, an hour to an already scheduled premiere of the movie at IMAX Cinemas, Lekki.
