'Ninah's Dowry' has come to put Cameroon at the forefront of African movies and has succeeded to become a pillar of strength and hope for other movie makers in the country.
'Ninah's Dowry' Clinches 11 Nominations @ NAFCA 2013
Eleven nominations no be beans! Neither was their 7 nominations at Africa's biggest movie event - The Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in 2013. This Cameroonian film just keeps climbing the success ladder by the hour.
The film scored eleven nods at this year's Nollywood & African Film Critics Awards (NAFCA) other wise known as The African Oscars including Best film, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Director. Other films like Weekend Getaway, One Night In Vegas and Alan Poza also got hitched!
The family drama won the AMAA Special Jury Award 2013 for frowning against domestic violence in most African homes – a topic well understood by almost every African.
NAFCA is scheduled to hold at the reputable Warner Bros Theater at the heart of down town Washington DC on September 14th .
