The announcement was made today by the President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, David Madden.
“Four seasons in, ‘New Girl’ continues to be one of the smartest and most relatable comedies on television,” he said.
“The writing is razor-sharp, the ensemble is consistently hilarious, and we couldn’t be more proud of Liz, Brett, Dave and the entire ‘New Girl’ team. We absolutely love this show and we’re so excited to bring it back for Season Five.” - Madden added.

'New Girl' will celebrate its landmark 100th episode during the upcoming 2015-2016 season.
'New Girl' stars Emmy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated actress Zooey Deschanel , Jake Johnson, Emmy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris,Damon Wayans, Jr. and Hannah Simone.
