Netflix suspends production of season 6

Netflix has suspended production of "House of Cards" Season 6 following sexual allegations against Spacey.

The production, which kicked off two weeks ago, has temporarily stopped following the recent sexual harassment allegations made against its star Kevin Spacey, who was accused of making unwanted sexual advance toward a 14-year-old boy in the 1980s.

In a statement, Netflix and Media Rights Capital, who produce the show, said  the production was being suspended “to give us time to review the current situation and to address any concerns of our cast and crew.”

It is not certain when of if the show will resume, and if it does, whether Spacey will still return as Frank Underwood.

On Sunday, BuzzFeed reported that Spacey had made an unwanted sexual advance toward Anthony Rapp when the later was 14 and Spacey was in his 20s.

“He was trying to seduce me,” Rapp told  BuzzFeed News. “I don't know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.”

Hours after the allegation, Spacey took to Twitter to apologize for his actions, describing it as a "drunken behaviour," and officially came out as gay.

"House of Cards," which made its debut in 2013, tells the story of a Congressman who works with his equally conniving wife to exact revenge on the people who betrayed him.
