Adults and mothers playing teenagers in Nollywood movies is hardly a new concept in the industry.

AMVCA award winning Yoruba actress, Mercy Aigbe, is the latest actor to play a secondary school student in a movie.

Mercy who is currently in Enugu State, is starring in a movie produced by the Aneke twins, titled 'Back to Basics'.

Mercy shared the photo with the below caption;

" set  Titled 'Back to Basics' Aneke Twins Production! ".

While some of her fans are excited, some are obviously not;

"When will all these old school actors in Nollywood stop playing sec n pry school roles And give the truly younger ones a chance to shine I don't understand it, U look like this in sec school u will still look like this later in the movie when u are grown.

These are some of the reasons why we can never win international awards and our movie industry forever remains stagnant." - A fan of Mercy commented.
