'Lethal Weapon' actress dies at 62

Actress and philanthropist, Mary Ellen Trainor, who was popular for her character in 'Lethal Weapon' has died.

Mary Ellen Trainor passes away at 62

The news was confirmed by Lucasfilm President, Kathleen Kennedy, who stated that Trainor passed away in California, on May 20 at the age of 62.

Trainor worked as producer's assistant on Steven Spielberg's 1979 film titled ', which was written by her husband, director Robert Zemeckis.

Trainor made her first film appearance in 'Romancing the Stone' alongside Kathleen Turner.

Her other films include among others.

A memorial service is scheduled to hold on June 19 in Montecito.
