Movie becomes 3rd highest grossing movie ever

The multiple record breaking 'Jurassic World' has surpassed 'The Avengers' as the third highest-grossing film ever.

'Jurassic World' has grossed $1.522 billion at the worldwide box, racing past Disney/Marvel's 'The Avengers' $1.52 billion to become the third highest-grossing film in history.

Its current 3rd spot places the movie only behind 'Titanic's $2.18 billion  and 'Avatar's $2.79 billion.

Bringing in a domestic total of $ $614.3 , 'Jurassic World' has also surpassed 'The Dark Knight' to become the fourth biggest North American film of all time.

It's also only the fourth film in North American history to cross $600 million mark.

Starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, the record breaking sequel comes a decade after its prequel 'Jurassic Park II1' hit theaters in 2001.

The movie opens next in Japan on August 5.
