As movie lovers anticipate the release of "The Jungle Book," Disney is already planning a sequel.

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is in talks with director Jon Favreau, and Brigham Taylor to return for the upcoming sequel.

“The Jungle Book” has grossed $28.9 million in few Asian and Latin American territories. It also grossed $7.6 million from India, emerging the second highest industry opening for an American release.
“The Jungle Book” will debut this weekend in U.S, China, Brazil, France and Mexico.

The man-cub Mowgli flees the jungle after a threat from the tiger Shere Khan. Guided by Bagheera the panther and the bear Baloo, Mowgli embarks on a journey of self-discovery, though he also meets creatures who don't have his best interests at heart.

The film stars and introduces Neel Sethi as Mowgli and features the voices of Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong'o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito and Christopher Walken.
