'Community' actor joins X-files

There is a new addition to Fox's  'The X-Files', and he is Joel McHale.

According to Deadline, 'Community' actor, Joel McHale, has joined the cast of FOX upcoming six-episode return of 'The X-Files.'

According to the report, McHale who will play a recurring role, will appear as Tad O’Malley.

McHale joins an already confirmed cast of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, reprising their roles as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

Actor Mitch Pileggi also recently took to Twitter to announce his return as FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner.

The X-Files' originally premiered in September 1993 and remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history.

The 16 Emmy and five Golden Globes award winning movie revolves around FBI special agents Scully and Mulder as they investigate unexplained cases.
