The screening is scheduled to hold on on February 7, 2015 with director of the movie Lancelot Imaseun and members of the cast in attendance.
Invasion 1897 chronicles the vivid accounts of the infamous British Punitive Expedition to Benin, Nigeria that led to killings, destruction, looting thousands of artifacts (Peoples' Records) and deposition of the last King of Africa: Oba Ovonramwen of the Great Benin Empire.
Told for the first time from the victim's perspective. They called it massacre, but it was indeed an invasion.
