Recently, some "Frozen" fans demanded that Disney turn Ice princess Elsa, into the first animated Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) figure.
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Idina Menzel who plays Elsa in "Frozen," spoke to Miley Cyrus about the #GiveElsaAGirlfriend which was launched on Twitter by some fans.
“Honestly, honestly I don’t know,” said Menzel. “I’m a servant of Disney."
"I’m all for it. I think it’s a wonderful idea. It’s a wonderful conversation that we should all have about whether a Disney princess or queen could be gay.” the actress added.
The #GivElsaAGirlfriend trend which was started by Twitter user Alexis Isabel on Sunday, May 1, 2016, demanded that Disney turn the Ice princess into the first animated Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) figure.
According to a report by Hollywood Reporter, Disney studio did not use any LGBT characters in their films in 2015, an act which got them a failing grade on GLAAD's recent LGBT report card.
