How 1st official teaser is Marvel's biggest ever

The 1st "Guardian of the Galaxy" teaser trailer released over the weekend is Marvel's biggest teaser ever.

The action-packed teaser which features the entire gang of the superheroes including Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Raccoon, and more of Baby Groot, is currently the biggest Marvel teaser ever.

It is also the most watched trailer of any kind, right behind "Captain America: Civil War."

The trailer was viewed 81 million times online in 24 hours. "Civil War" which is the most viewed Marvel Trailer of any type has 94 million views in 24 hours.

There are speculations that the official "Guardian of the Galaxy" trailer would surpass the "Civil War" record when released.

The most watched trailer remains the recently released "Beauty and the Beast" trailer. It holds the record with 127.6 million views in one day. It is followed by "Fifty Shades Darker" with 114 million views in one day, and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" with 112 million.

The upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell.

"Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy' follows the newly-formed team who finds a strange artefact keyed only to the DNA of Peter Quill.

Upon opening it, Quill unleashes a treasure map leading to a powerful weapon known as the Cosmic Seed which is capable of giving birth to the next universe.

It’s up to the Guardians to find, protect and ultimately destroy the Cosmic Seed in order to keep it out of the hands of those who would abuse its power, from galactic big boss Thanos, to the conniving brothers the Collector and the Grandmaster, to a resurrected Ronan, to the ultimate trickster, Loki, in order to save the universe."

Written and directed by James Gunn, the first film earned over $770 million at the worldwide box-office to emerge as the most successful debut film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The anticipated movie will debut on May 5, 2017.
