2015 AMVCA award nominee, Gideon Okeke, will play Morris Ibeawuchi, an Ebola survivor in Steve Gukas' upcoming film '93 Days.'
Rehearsals for Steve Gukas' upcoming film '93 Days' commenced on July 27, 2015, with Gideon Okeke starring as Morris Ibeawuchi, an Ebola survivor.
Dr. Morris Ibeawuchi, a staff of the First Consultant Medical Centre, was the first person to receive the late Patrick Sawyer who brought the deadly virus into Nigeria.
Gideon took to his Instagram page to reveal his character with the post;
"I never came first in class but my "daddy" did my homework for me. Lol. Everything about my new lease of life spells 2 things...School and Work! Playtime is really over dammit! Rehearsal day on #93DaysTheIndexPatient with director @stevegukas workshopping the essence of my new xcter "Morris Ibeawuchi". He lives...I play him! #ActorOnBeastMode."
'93 Days' is a movie centred on the true-life story of men and women who risked their lives and made sacrifices to save Nigerians from the consequences of the outbreak of the highly dreaded Ebola Virus Disease.
Directed by Steve Gukas who produced the AMVCA award winning drama 'A Place in the Stars,', '93 Days ' is produced by Bolanle Austen-Peters, Dotun Olakunri and Steve Gukas.
The movie demonstrates the bravery of the late Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh and her colleagues.
Principal Photography commenced on August 3, 2015.
