Gideon Okeke stole the AFRIFF 2016 Globe Awards night with his reenactment of the life and times of Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
From playing Phillip Ade-Williams on "Tinsel" to playing Akin in "Gidi Blues," Gideon Okeke's acting skill has never been in doubt.
However, at the Africa International Film Festival's Globe Awards which held on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at EKO Convention Center, the actor brought a deeper side of his talent to the stage.
Gideon Okeke delivered an outstanding theatrical reenactment of Fela Anikulapo Kuti 's life and evolution, featuring some of the Afrobeat legend's songs.

The actor was supported by The Voice Nigeria winner, Agharese Emokpae, and a group of competent dancers.
In a 2014 interview with Pulse Nigeria, the actor revealed that he would be singing if he weren't acting. "If I wasn't an actor, I will probably be a singer," he acted.
Okeke who became popular after his stay in the 2006 Big Brother Nigeria house has featured in notable productions including "A Place in the Stars," "When Love Happens," "Saro the Musical," "Before 30" among others.
Gideon Okeke wasn't the only one who received a standing ovation for an outstanding performance. Adesua Etomi and Osas Ighodaro also delivered stunning Broadway performances that won't be forgotten in a hurry.
