After a successful opening week, 'Furious 7' has hit $800.5 million at the worldwide box office
The seventh installment in the 'Fast and Furious' franchise , 'Furious 7,' dominated the box office for the second weekend in a row.
Following a record breaking debut of $147 million first weekend, the movie has brought in $195 million overseas from 66 markets for a foreign total of $548 million.
Domestically, Furious 7 brought in another $60.6 million to end its second weekend with a total of $252.2 million.
According to Box Office Mojo, 'Furious 7' is one of few movies to score more than $60 million in its domestic box office sales in the second weekend,
The last time a movie performed this well in its second week was 'American Sniper' with $64.6 million.
With $800 million worldwide, 'Furious 7' is set to become the first $1 billion movie of the year.
