“Tinsel” star to celebrate 20 years of acting
The actress gained recognition in the 90s following her role in Amaka Igwe’s romantic drama film “Violated”.

To celebrate her two decades in the Nigerian movie industry, Aofiyebi-Raimi has launched a talent competition tagged ‘Go Far With Talent’ for aspiring actors.
“Instead of throwing a lavish party for colleagues who already enjoy certain industry perks, I choose to celebrate by kick starting a mentoring/give-back initiative for the love of my industry - the same industry that has groomed and produced ME”, she shared on Instagram.
The actress will be giving two upcoming talents the opportunity to attend Emem Isong’s Royal Arts Academy for three months on full scholarship.
The winners of the competition will be announcing on her birthday Tuesday, November 24, 2015.
The competition, which is now closed, required interested participants to create a one minute video inspired by Aofiyebi-Raimi as well as a personal statement of interest.
She gained recognition in the 90s following her role in Amaka Igwe’s romantic drama film “Violated” which also starred Richard Mofe Damijo and Joke Silva.
The actress who plays the role of Brenda on “Tinsel” has also starred in ‘Figurine”, “Wetin Dey”, “Keeping Faith”, “Palace”, “Doctor’s Quarters, “Grey Dawn”, “Blink”, “Love and War” and “Solitaire”.
