'Fifty Shades of Grey' Sequel will be more of thriller - studio reveals

Upcoming sequel of the 'Fifty Shades' movie is titled 'Fifty Shades Darker', and it will indeed be much more darker than you could imagine.

Universal Pictures chairman, Donna Langley, recently spoke about the upcoming 'Fifty Shades of Grey sequel' - Fifty Shades Darker'.

While speaking, Donna revealed that the upcoming movie will be more of a thriller than the first movie.

She revealed this at 'The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Lawyers breakfast, which held on Wednesday, April 29. 2015.

She also told The Hollywood Reporter that new screenwriter Niall Leonard is no stranger to the series.

“He actually did a draft that wasn’t credited on the first movie, and he did a really good job,” she said.

She also spoke on the reported drift between director Sam Taylor-Johnson and writer E.L. James.

“For the record, the movie we ended up making is exactly the movie I wanted to make and that the studio wanted to make and that our director wanted to make,” She said.

'Fifty Shades Darker' will hit theaters in February, 2017.
