The first Ijebu Nollywood film was titled "Oju Awo," and starred Dayo Amusa alongside Femi Branch.
Femi Branch is currently celebrating 25 years of his acting career.
The actor who shot into limelight with his role as Oscar Lord Williams in "Domino," has been sharing entertaining facts about his acting career.
The actor took to his Instagram page on Friday, May 13, 2016, to share a photo from the 2007 movie "Oju Awo," which he described as the first Ijebu Nollywood movie.
"Oju Awo" was produced by Dayo Amusa, who also starred in the movie.
"I remember this movie tho the title eludes me. It was a great experiment by @dayoamusa where she put together an almost 100% Ijebu cast for what was to be the first Ijebu Nollywood movie. I was so proud to be a part of this historic project tho am really trying hard to remember if I was allowed to speak plenty Ijebu in the film. Why do they always cast me as one butter, oloyinbo guy sef?! I hardly get to show my Ibile side," he wrote on his Instagram page.
Femi Branch's upcoming movie includes "Aunt Maria," which has the actor play two different characters - an old man, and an old woman. The movie tells the story of how a father's love goes beyond the grave.
