7 things you need to know about AMC's new show

AMC's much awaited 'Fear The Walking Dead' premiered on Sunday, August 23, 2015, and it has received mostly positive reviews.

Fans finally got their first look into the world of AMC's anticipated spin-off of The Walking Dead,, undefined  which debuted over the weekend.

'Fear the Walking Dead'  is a companion show to The Walking Dead that begins at the dawn of the zombie apocalypse.

Check out 5 things we found out from the show, which has been receiving positive reviews since its debut;

In the premiered episode, Nick, who  passed out in an abandoned-church, woke up to find his friend Gloria infested, feeding on a body.

After what he saw, Nick nervously exited the scene, only to run into an oncoming car. Waking up, he explained the insane scene to his stepfather, Travis, who went to the church to investigate.

Nick who needed answers exited the hospital in search of them.

A horrid police footage revealed that a supposed dead victim at the center of the traffic jam was a freshly undead human who started to attack the emergency team around him.

Nick met up with his dealer to find out if the drug were laced. Calvin revealed it wasn't, and drove Nick to a distant spot and pulled out a gun.

Of course after much struggling, Nick ended up shooting and killing him.

After shooting Calvin, Nick took Travis and Madison to the spot, but then, Calvin's body was gone.

Turned out that Calvin had been turned, and was staggering towards the three. To escape his wrath, Madison and Travis ran him down with their truck.

'Fear the Walking Dead' stars Kim Dickens, Elizabeth Rodriguez , Mercedes Mason , Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam-Carey.
