Ghanaian actor passes away

Former Ghanaian actor, and President of the Ghana Actors Guild, Rev. Eddie Coffie, has passed away after battling with illness.

Former Ghanaian actor, Rev. Eddie Coffie has passed on. Coffie who was the President of the Ghana Actors Guild until his death, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.

His death was confirmed by the Ghana Actor's Guild in a statement which was signed by the body's PRO, Nii Adjety.

“It is rather unfortunate to loose him at this particular moment  but God knows best.”

“We therefore would like to ask that we express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, especially the wife and the children left behind even as we pray and ask the good Lord to console them at this trying moment," the statement read.

The late Coffie was elected as the president of Ghana's Actor's Guild in October 2014.

He was popular for his pastor roles in movies. His last movie was 'My Taxi Soul' which starred him alongside Martha Ankoma, Christopher Chinedu, Kalsum Sinare, Bibi Bright, Junior Omaberie, and Eddie Watson.
