ABC recently confirmed a new three-hour musical version of the 1987 romantic drama "Dirty Dancing," which starred Patrick Swazye and Jennifer Grey.
To be executive produced by Allison Shearmur and Eleanor Bergstein, the adaptation will be written by Jessica Sharzer, while Wayne Blair will direct.
Since the debut of the original "Dirty Dancing," there has been the 2004 sequel "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights", and a 1988 TV series which starred Patrick Cassidy and Melora Hardin.
