Former football player David Beckham has denied reports that he plans on vying to become the next James Bond.

On September 7, Pulse reported that the retired 40-year old footballer was considering to audition for the role of James Bond in the next spy movie. His fans also wanted him to take on the role of the iconic British spy.

A representative of the former Manchester United winger has told Daily Mail that the father of four is not interested in being James Bond.

David Beckham has tried his hands on film recently. He featured in a special episode of Only Fools And Horses last Christmas. The former Real Madrid Man featured in the short film Outlaws for the British leather company Belstaff. The short film also stars Harvey Keitel.
