Rumors are sprawling that a live adaptation of Boruto Naruto: The Movie is already sealed because of the success the anime film in Japan, and even the rest of the world.
Lionsgate was previously reported to be undergoing negotiations to produce a Boruto Naruto: The Movie live action film.
Michael Gracey, a former visual effects specialist, has already been signed by Lionsgate to direct the movie adaptation with Avi Arad and Ari Arad producing the film, Variety reported.
According to Yibada, it is still unconfirmed if the live-action film will be a direct adaptation of the animated Boruto Naruto: The Movie. However, Lionsgate is reportedly negotiating with Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto in order for the studios to procure the copyright for the movie.
No official announcement has been made on the status of the negotiations. Maybe the studio and Kishimoto are both waiting to see if the animated movie replicates the success abroad? If that’s the case, we may have to wait for a long while as we still have a long way to go before the film releases stateside on October 10, 2015.
