Genevieve Nnaji's much awaited film "Road to Yesterday" held its world premiere at the closing night of the 2015 African International Film Festival, at the Genesis Deluxe Cinemas, The Palms.
Popular Nigerian filmmaker, Blessing Egbe, took to her Twitter account to share her thoughts on the treatment actors and filmmakers received at the premiere.
According to the filmmaker, she was bounced at two points of entry.
Comparing the closing night to the opening night, the filmmaker said;"The opening film was open to all with no division and so should the closing film!!"
The opening night which saw the screening of the movie "Mediterranea," a film by Jonas Carpignano, had everyone in attendance ushered into different screening rooms, without any form of division or drama.
Speaking to Pulse Nigeria, an undisclosed source stated that the closing night seemed like two different events were being held - AFRIFF, and the premiere of "Road to Yesterday," unlike the opening night.
For the opening night, there was only one backdrop for the night, while the closing night had two different backdrops at opposite ends, the source further stated.
The star studded premiere had the likes of Desmond Elliott, Ramsey Nouah, Shola Shobowale, Ita Giwa, Asa, Nkiru Anumudu, Funke Akindele, Audu Maikori among others in the VIP section.
