In 2014, Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya, launched a campaign titled 'Fifty Shades of Black', aimed at inspiring young girls to feel confident about themselves and skin color.
In an exclusive interview with Pulse Nigeria, the actress speaks on the project, aim and future plans.
According to Beverly, the campaign is about teaching young girls self love and inner beauty.
"It doesn't matter if you are light skinned, brown skinned or dark skinned, we are all beautiful. I need people to understand that" - She said.
The 'Before 30' star goes on to state that the project has also taught her to love herself and her flaws. "I have learnt how to truly love myself, flaws and all, because not one of us is perfect." - she said.
"If I can inspire these young girls to grow up loving themselves, then they can inspire the next generation, then we can have stronger women". - She added.
