"Amy," "He Named me Malala" 15 documentary features shortlisted for 2016 Oscar race

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today have shortlisted 15 films in the Documentary Feature category to advance in the 88th Academy Awards race.

15 films have been chosen out of 124 films originally submitted in the Documentary Feature category for the 2016 Oscars race.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science have announced that 15 films will advance in the voting process.

15. Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom

The academy will select five nominees from the above listed films.

The 88th Academy Awards nominations will be announced live on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at 5:30 a.m. PT at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

The 88th Oscars which will be hosted by Chris Rock, will hold on Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood.
