20th Century Fox has released a new clip for its upcoming live-action film 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip.'

An upcoming American comedy, 'The Road Chip' is directed by Walt Becker and written by Randi Mayem Singer.

The fourth installment in the Alvin and the Chipmunks film series, it stars Jason Lee as Dave Seville, and will feature the voices of Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler and Jesse McCartney.

Plot.

"When Dave plans to propose to his new girlfriend in New York, the Chipmunks come to believe that he's going to get rid of them afterwards. In an attempt to stop him, they go on a road trip, with a time limit of only 3 days."

The 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' kicked off in 2007, and have grossed over $560 million domestically and $1.1 billion worldwide.

The much anticipated comedy hits theaters on December 23.
