The 2015 Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) is set to hold from November 8 to November  15, and organisers have revealed the schedule for the upcoming festival.

OPENING NIGHT

African premiere of  ‘Mediterranea,' a film by Jonas Carpignano.

Friday 13th November – Workshops Industry Day

Session 1-  FILMMAKING ON THE GO - MOFILM Presentation, Lagos 48 hour Film Project, Snapped – 9 am – 11 am

Session 2 - Documentary Filmmaking & Social Justice with Nancy Cornwell– 11 -12 Noon

Session 3 -  Collaboration in the film industry: Theatre and Film Making, Bridging the divide - 1-2 pm

Session 4 - Auditions for Lagos Theatre Festival (LTF) – 2 pm – 5 pm

INDUSTRY PROGRAMME

Focus is to dialogue, share knowledge in key note conversations, about practical ideas and trends with a view to empowering film makers. November 9-13, 2015 (Registered Industry delegates only).

Session 1 - Producing a feature Film (Masterclass) – 9 am – 12 noon, GDC City Mall.

Session 2 - The Actor as a Commercial Brand (Masterclass) – 11-1 pm, GDC City Mall.

Session 3 -  Film Criticism Workshop – 1 pm -3 pm, GDC City Mall.

Session 4 - Music in Film; scores, soundtracks, synergy & alternative income streams. 3-5 pm, GDC City Mall.

Session 1 - Towards a Sustainable business framework for Africa Cinema – 10 -1 pm.

Session 1. – Breakfast presentation by KZNFC and the NFVF on; Rebates, funded Projects, funding requirements, partnerships and skills sharing between SA and Nigerian Filmmakers. 9 am – 11 am, Eko Hotel and Suites.

Session 2 - Co-production Projects Pitching – 11 pm -1 pm, GDC, The Palms, Lekki.

South African Brai Lunch 1 pm – 2:30 pm.

Session 3 - Possible Market sharing and Co-Distribution dialogue – 3 -5 pm, Eko Hotels and Suites.
