According to TV Line, Thomas will star as the hero, Eric Carter's big brother, Isaac Carter. According to the outlet, the brothers don’t get along with Eric now married to Isaac’s old girlfriend, Nicole.

Starring "Straight Outta Compton" actor Corey Hawkins as Eric Carter, the revival series will revolve around a military hero who returns to the U.S. with a whole lot trouble around him.
After settling with his wife Nicole in Virginia, Carter’s past comes back to haunt him, and with nowhere else to turn, he asks CTU to help him save his life, while also stopping one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.
