Popular on-air-personality Toke Makinwa wrote a touching note to her late father yesterday (November 9).

She penned the letter on her father’s post-humous birthday. You can read the letter below;

“Happy birthday to my first love. I miss you everyday daddy, there's so much I have to say but I can't find the words. I carry you with me, I pray for you. You left so early but the God you served with everything did not leave those you left behind.

“I remember as a kid you discovered my love for talking really eaely, you always said that I would be a lawyer cos i could talk up a storm and when i was naughty you would have me sit in the corner of your room and read the daily newspapers to you just to keep me from going to cause trouble or fight my siblings. I knew you had read the stories, but my punishment would be to read it over and over again till I was exhausted.

“Sometimes you fell asleep daddy and when I stopped reading, you opened your eyes to tell me to continue. Thank you for the legacy of Christ you gave me, Thank you for your light. You are alive in my dreams, I celebrate you today daddy, I wish you were here to cheer me on.

“I hope I have made you proud so far, I hope I keep making you proud. Watch over me please, my own guardian angel. Love you always. #Daddysgirl #Nov7th #Calebsday” wrote Toke Makinwa.

On November 3, Toke Makinwa celebrated her 31 birthday. Watch Pulse TV video for more on Media chic.
