Celebrity designer, Toju Foyeh (full name Toluwaloju Olowofoyeku) is arguably one of the hottest designers in the Nigerian fashion space.

Arriving the Nigerian fashion scene in 2012, her quick rise to the top did not go unnoticed by industry watchers and in 2012, she won the Future Awards Designer of the Year plaque.

But there's more to the petite beaut than fashion. Here are 4 fun things to know about Toju Foyeh.

  • She's actually a qualified Lawyer: Toju studied Law at the University of Reading and obtained her LLM in the University of Manchester. Soon after that, she attended fashion school in Milan and then returned home to attend Law school, making her qualified to practice Law in Nigeria.

  • She credits Tiwa Savage for her break through in the industry: In an exclusive interview with Pulse, Toju revealed that she and Tiwa arrived Nigeria at about the same time to kick start their careers. She then decided to design clothes for Tiwa's events and performances and as the Mavin first lady's profile rose, so did hers. Today Toju's designs have been won by the likes of Waje, Omawumi, Osas Ighodaro and Toke Makinwa.

  • She'd rather dresses than blouses: Toju admits that she prefers to wear dresses and isn't too hot on blouses, but goes ahead to make them for her ready to wear line for the sake of versatility.

  • She once called Lynxxx bae: According to word on the grapevine, Toju and Lynxxx were once as hot as melted cheese in bread, although the duo never admitted it publicly...
