The video would go on to be one of the fastest viewed Nigerian videos on YouTube. In little over a month the video has garnered 1.9 million views. Beyond the staggering numbers, Tiwa Savage’s marriage drama will go down as the biggest celebrity news of 2016.

Such a personal scandal would have set back Tiwa Savage’s career by at least six months. The standard move for Tiwa Savage to have done was lay low for a while for the controversy to subside. The Mavin pop queen did exactly the opposite.

Tiwa Savage was back in business the following week. On May 9, 2016 she was already back on Instagram thanking her fans for their support. Shortly after she extended her endorsement deal with Forte Oil. The wind of good luck continued with her hitting 1 million likes on her Facebook page. After getting her business back up Tiwa Savage took her son Jamil on a vacation to Dubai.

The highlight of Tiwa Savage’s good fortune after her marriage drama came from international quarters. Not too long ago it was reported that Tiwa Savage would be signing to Roc Nation owned by Hip Hop mogul Jay Z.

Earlier this week Tiwa Savage finally put pen to paper in the contract. The deal has huge ramifications not only for Tiwa Savage but for the Nigerian music industry as well. While the dust was yet to settle on that it was revealed that E! Will be doing a documentary on her which will be aired on June 12, 2016.
