Rappers end bitter war thanks to mystery tycoon

What could have turned out to be the biggest hip hop fight in recent time has been squashed by a man with major street cred - Jojo Capone.

The Game and Young Thug beefing

The Game and Young Thug have ended their beef and it was all thanks to a mutual friend.

According to TMZ, rapper Jojo Capone, known to have some major street cred, brokered peace between the rival rap stars on Wednesday, May 6.

Game and Thug were previously in a bitter war of words which extended to death threats.

Capone tells the site that Game reached out to him after seeing a photo online of Capone and Thug together. He says Game didn't realize Capone was down with Thug ... and that opened the door to a meeting.

The rapper added that he got Game and Thug on the phone and they both needed to get back to making music, and not threats. Capone said they needed to look at the big picture and end the beef before someone got hurt.

Game reportedly confirmed he's ready to drop it after admitting it was stupid to fight with another rapper.
