On her song 'Love don't care': "People care, society cares, culture cares about class, status, tribe and even religion. But love itself couldn't care less. You love who you love. I should add, though, that these factors can and will affect what we ddo with the love but it can't change the love."

Talking about her parents separating at 9: "My dad passed on two years ago, but I've got to say their separation kind of jaded me a bit.

"I was nine but I knew that live wouldn't always go how you want it to go and I had conversations with them that kids my age don't have. I was hurt but we moved on. That's the best life can offer, really."
