These are indeed unhappy times for veteran Afro-Juju star, Shina Peters, as his wife of 31 years, Sammie Ayoka Peters is reportedly ill with cancer.
Wife of veteran musician reportedly down with cancer
It has been reported that the wife of the veteran Afro-Juju musician is currently undergoing treatments for cancerous tumour.

Reports say that Sammie has been diagnosed of cancer and is currently in a hospital in the United States of America were she is undergoing treatment.
Details of the illness are yet to be known but the respected musician has reportedly been at the side of his wife since she was diagnosed. All efforts to get confirmation of this report by have been futile as at the time of this report.
Shina Peters and Sammie got married in 1983 and are blessed with a son, Clinton Peters who was born nine years after their wedding.

She is also the stepmother to popular music video director, Clarence peters, who Shina Peters fathered with Nollywood actress, Clarion Chukwura.
