Singer slammed for insulting Asperger's syndrome victim on Facebook

The Jamaican star posted a link to an article about recent Illinois high school graduate Gavin Joseph who was beaten by a group of teenagers for spending most of his time alone. In his defense, he claimed someone else posted it!

Sean Kingston (real name Kisean Anderson) has continued to apologize to fans after his Facebook page ridiculed a teenage boy with Asperger's syndrome who recently was beaten to pulp by bullies.

On Thursday July 9, the 25-year-old singer insisted he wasn't behind the post, and tweeted: ''Just wanna apologize to Gavin and his family... My Facebook is not run by me!!... This is the 2nd time something like this happened.''

He added: ''And it hurts.. Cause anyone and anybody that knows me know I'm far from that type of person... So from now on I'll post my own stuff.. Bless.''

A representative for the rapper said the Beautiful Girls singer did not read the story about Gavin, according to an article by TMZ. The rep said that Sean has an outside vendor who runs his social media.

In no time the singer received backlash was swift and severe on social media for his insensitive comment. One commentator wrote: ''#readbeforeyoupost moron, no wonder your career is down the drain''.Another posted: ''Really stupid tip, coming from a really stupid person''.

From another pundit came: ''How About You Read The Story First SEAN KINGSTON, Before You Start To Make Stupid Comments!!!!''
