Famous music producer, Quincy Jones has revealed that he nicknamed late pop king, Michael Jackson 'Smelly' while the pop star was alive.

Speaking to students at Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film & TV on Wednesday, April 8 2015, Jones recalled meeting Jackson as a 12-year-old and then getting to know him on the 1978 movie, The Wiz.

In his words, “I used to call Michael ‘Smelly,’ because he wouldn't say ‘funky.’ He’d say ‘smelly jelly.’ They’d say, ‘Who’s in the studio?’ I said, ‘Smelly, Worms and Mouse.’ ”

The iconic musician and composer was responsible for many of Michael Jackson's albums, some of which are Bad and Thriller.
