Many fans and critics have called a poor replication of the Mavin crew’s hit song "Dorobucci”. A notable person who has come out to criticize the song was the popular publicist Egor Efiok who had said that Dbanj, the CEO of DB records, has been trying to copy Don Jazzy’s hit song by recreating the same kind of production.

Tonto was the subject of media ridicule since the release of her new song, "Sugar Rush" which she released online on the 28th of June, 2014 until recently when Don Jazzy from the mavin Crew gave his opinion of the song.
