In her special one-on-one interview with Pulse TV, Nigeria pop queen Tiwa Savage opened up and spoke about how she learnt how to deal with criticism.

Early on in her career, Tiwa Savage got a lot of heat for her sexy videos and attires. In those early days Tiwa Savage was sort of a polarizing figure as people argued if it was okay for her to flaunt her sex appeal.

As she grew bigger the criticisms increased especially when she dropped the video for her single 'Wanted'. In the exclusive interview Tiwa Savage admitted it was tough at first but right now she has learnt how to grow a thick skin.

"It used to be tough. I used to always want to explain to everybody like...then you get comments like that 'she is unapproachable, she is not nice. I found myself doing extra with people in media, in radio, even just fans" Tiwa Savage told Pulse TV.

She further added "I was burning out. I was exhausted, and you just cannot please everybody. And as soon as I got that into my head I was fine. I would just know that my conscience is clear..."

Tiwa Savage agrees that artistes should have media training to know how to handle people online but the training shouldn't take away their natural edge.
